What is self-compassion?

It's treating yourself the way you would treat a good friend — being kind, not mean, to yourself when things go wrong.

Practice: Kind hands

Put your hands on your heart. Take a deep breath. Say to yourself: "It's okay. Everyone makes mistakes. I'm learning."
